Lead SA Black River clean up

On Saturday, 26 July 2012, 20 kids from Oaklands High School joined the river marshals from the Kader Asmal River rehabilitation project to clean up a stretch of the Black River, a major river in Cape Town draining into Table Bay

In two short hours, they learnt about the pollution, the litter and the invasive plants that poison and strangle our rivers. Most of the problems come as a result of residents not realising what the impact of the actions are on our scarce water resources.
